Alan Cook provides a speedskate rental service for new speedskaters in the greater Boston area.
The cost for this program is $35.00 for three sessions of your choice. Skates are also available for long term or seasonal rentals and be purchased as well.
Due to the fact that the skates are not stored at the rinks, you will need to call 48 hours before you plan to attend a session. This will allow Alan to get your skates ready for sizing or use. You will need to try on the skates before you skate because sizes and shapes of skates are different than street shoes or sneakers.
Alan also offers for sale a complete line of Speedskating Boots, Blades and accessories. Including new and used. In addition, Skates and Blades purchased from Alan can be traded in to upgrade or to allow growth for younger skaters.
Please call Alan evenings after 6:00pm at 1-781-826-2521, except on Tuesdays and Thrursdays which are our practice sessions.

- 1pr Pass short track (high cut) boot, size 42 European (9 US I think). These run pretty narrow. The only problem is that one of the ankle buckles is broken - doesn't make much difference unless you're really pushing it. Suitable for advanced beginner / intermedate - nice and stiff at the ankle. $50
- 1 pr Size 37 (ish) short track boots. Good for a beginner - $25
- We also have 2 sets of beginners blades (14" I think) which we would like to find a home for $25/set.
